Stop motion video: The Lego adventure in the city

Do you remember all those lovely stories our imaginations were capable of creating in a matter of seconds when we were 5 or 6 years old? It didn’t matter whether they made sense or not, it was only about playing with our toys in wonderful and amazing worlds and we could do this for hours!

This brickfilm short reminds me of those days. I have to confess that I still play with Lego (ehem!) but our grown up life sometimes blocks out the innocence of imagination.

This 3-minute length lego stop motion animation video called “The Lego adventure in the city” is about a snake, a city, “the grey” and a dinosaur, and all narrated by a little kid. It’s pretty cool.

The brickfilm was written and directed by Rogier Wieland for Lego China, and it took six animators and two set builders to go from concept to video.

We love this short and we want to see more of this!

There’s a lot of work that goes into stop motion and Rogier Wieland has also made available the behind the scenes video: “The making of The lego adventure in the city“. It’s quite impressive what they have done!
